What is the difference between an INTENTION and a GOAL?
An intention is the reason WHY behind any goal you set for yourself. It’s a statement that describes what success looks and feels like in a particular area of your life. Before you set a goal – whether it’s to do with your finances, business, career, weight, relationships etc – always start by setting a clear intention FIRST. What are you aiming for and why? And then set your goal. It’s like a long-term vision that you have for your future. Here’s an example… if you’re looking to lose weight and your goal is to lose 30lbs by the end of the year, ask yourself why and be specific. You many want to lose the weight so your clothes feel more comfortable on you… or you’re fed up of hiding behind baggy clothes… or it may be for health reasons that you need to lose weight. Always know the reasons why you want to do this in the first place, think it through and write it down, give yourself the direction you need to back up your goal.
